This carving is a mixed species family of Ibises, that quite frequently occur where the habitats of the White Ibis and Scarlet Ibis overlap. In this carving the male is the scarlet Ibis and the Female is white. The juvenile is mottled black and white until it gets its adult feathers. White Ibis are common in Miami while the scarlet Ibis is much more rare. The white color gene is dominant, but both the adult male and juvenile have oil glands giving them an irridescent appearance. The female sits on a Manzanita burl, while the family and copper plant are on a slab of Indian Rosewood. Dimensions:45"w x 52"h x24"d Price: $2800.00

This egret is what I refer to in my information page as a "slick". No feathers are detailed and it is an artistic interpretation of an egret with no specific species. When ordering, please specify a burl(shown) or driftwood base and the direction you would like the head to turn. Price: $150.00

This is the white phase of a Reddish Egret. Its dimensions(30 inch height by 20 inch length) are accurate, but the bird is also carved as a "slick". Price: $150.00
